January 1, 2005
They go to a party near their apartment in the circle. They meet new friends and see some cherished old ones as well. They
manage to sneak in a little new year's kiss and then leave the ball not long after midnight and say hello to yet more friends
down the street on their trek back home.
January 5, 2005
Richie and Kim venture into LA to the courthouse, where they learned that Kim had experienced a case of court-induced mistaken
identity. Relising their error, they tell Kim she has no more hoops to jump through and can get her license back ASAP! They
go to King's after a trafficky ride home and eat many oysters and have a bottle of champagne to celebrate. They both
try (and fall in love with) ceviche, a mexican seafood concoction that was muy delicioso. Kim is suddenly flabbergasted that
they've never had it before.
January 7, 2005
They go to the DMV and get Kim's license back. In the process, with all of the rain and chaos, Kim also loses her cell phone, proof that when
God opens a window, he closes a door. Kim also starts her new job as a bona fide office rat that day, marking the (temporary?)end
of her tenure at the Santa Ana College Music Department.
January 8, 2005
Richie and Kim head to downtown Long Beach, where they walk around and eat hot dogs from a street vendor. Yum! The hot dogs,
though supposedly different, tasted remarkably similar. They listen to a street musician outside of the Blue Cafe.
January 9, 2005
The lovebirds take a big trip up to the Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical Gardens and spend the day in iydillic, expansive surroundings. They are throughly sated by the time the park closes. They drive
down Sunset to Tower, buy a couple of CDs, and go home happy.
January 22, 2005
Richie and Kim meet their oyster buddies Don, Mary and Haley at King's and they eat a bunch of food.
