Meet Richie and Kim
A Month Later, May...

In the second month, sparks fly...

May 2-4
Vegas. They eat, drink, and act the part of merry little lovecats. They had a night of fine dining that ended up with Richie and Kim getting taken back to their hotel room sloshed and in Tom's limo, an unexpected little bonus to the booze and music-filled evening.

May 13, 2003
Their website is born.

May 16, 2003- after a night at LR and D&B's with Jen, Dan and a strange drunken (native american) Indian fellow (also named Richard) who mostly wandered around on his own, Richie is pulled over driving Kim's car for speeding. Citation issued. Kim becomes highly apologetic after this incident and regretfully blames Richie's brand-spanking new ticket on the man who invented fellatio.

May 17, 2003, 1:59 am
Richie goes to kim's choral concert thing and they get some comp tickets to the Mariachi show next door. They stay for about 4 songs and eventually end up back at LR, where people had been wondering about their whereabouts. They adventure to Garf's of Costa Mesa for a brief bathroom break for Jen and then head to Johnnie's. Goodness gracious, how wonderful. If Kim was a window, Richie would be the breath of fresh air that passed through her. Haw. Webmaster anebriated. Sound the bell!

May 19, 2003, Monday
Richie gets his car back and he and Kim drive to the Block where they eat a sushi dinner. They consume two large pots of sake and a Kirin as well, after which they shop around and find a cute little orange paper latern for Richie's aesthetic pleasure. Richie admits on this day while sitting on a bench in front of Frederick's of Hollywood that though he loves Kim that he has not yet fallen in love with her. Though she has not yet disclosed the true nature of her feelings for Richie, that he has disclosed what he did will certainly help her win this love war, granted she is willing to use what he's said against him.
They go to LR that night, where Rebec and Dave rejoice that they have friends again. The four play pool together amidst many a kick, slap, punch or check to various parts of the body. Kim goes home to San Clemente and gets lucky with her man.

May 20, 2003, Tuesday
Kim drives to S.C. where they have a BBQ together after work and cook up steaks, red potatoes and asparagus. Yum. Kim forgets to tenderize the steak and shows signs of regret for the first time in her life. They shoot up to Orange and go to LR, 2J's and then back to LR to say hi to Rebec and Dave.

May 21, 2003 Wednesday
Kim meets Richie for lunch at The General. They drive off and have Burger King, where Richie's head looks as if it will soon droop into the mini-dixie cups filled with Ketchup that they now give you instead of packets. They vow to get to bed sooner.
Later that night
Kim drives to On the Border to see Richie at work. As always, he gets out virtually the same time she does so she still doesn't get to see him in action. Boo, she said.
He does laundry, they chit chat about their respective days and assorted tidbits in bed as she rubs his feet. They listen to Dean Martin.

May 25, 2003
Kim and Richie sit on a couch at Kim's house and veg. They don't want to see a movie, they don't want to go out, they just want to do....nothing. But not really! They want to do something, but that something is hard to find... Kim notes that on this day, the lazy sunday before Memorial Day Monday, they are at their first impasse. Not against each other, but agains the social structure of Orange. Things in Orange seemingly close at sundown on Sundays, severely limiting their options.
Finally, they decide to sojourn to Morgan and Fred's where they watch the Simpsons. A barrel of laughs later, they go to Royal Capital Seafood and have tempura-style fried tofu, shrimp and asparagus, Peking Duck, rice and a couple of TsingTaos. The go to the LR for their normal drink, Ketel One and Tonic lime squozen but not dropped, and head home.
